In camera foreground miniature with cigarette smoke blown through tube for steam. Radar dish at left in distance is motorized to rotate. Two cars in foreground are toys with new paint. Black car, man on ladder and building in distance are real. Space ship rigged with cable to "launch" it up ramp. Camera was placed on nodal point head for pan to the left, revealing ship and ramp.
